Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca revealed that Noni Madueke was left out of the squad for today's match against Fulham due to a "technical decision" rather than an injury.
Despite initial concerns over Madueke's absence, Maresca confirmed that the winger is fit and healthy.
The match ended in a 2-1 defeat for Chelsea, with Fulham scoring twice in the final minutes to secure their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979. Cole Palmer scored the opening goal for Chelsea with an impressive individual effort in the first half, but Fulham's Harry Wilson equalized, and Rodrigo Muniz netted the winner in the fifth minute of injury time.
Maresca's decision to exclude Madueke has raised questions, especially given the player's recent performances. The manager emphasized that his choices were based on the players' training performances and match readiness.
