Chelsea Star Congratulates Ademola Lookman on Winning CAF African Footballer of the Year

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has congratulated Ademola Lookman on his recent achievement, taking to social media to share his admiration.

In response to a post from sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Adarabioyo tweeted, "My brother! THE BEST player in Africa. Well deserved."

Lookman was named the African Footballer of the Year by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on December 16, 2024, after an outstanding season for both his club and country. His impressive performances, including a hat-trick in Atalanta's Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen and his crucial role in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign, earned him the prestigious honor.

This victory marks the seventh time a Nigerian player has claimed the African Footballer of the Year title, following in the footsteps of legends such as Nwankwo Kanu, Emmanuel Amunike, and Victor Osimhen.
