Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for the highly coveted 2024 CAF Women’s Player of the Year award, alongside a nomination for the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category.
The 24-year-old Paris FC goalkeeper, celebrated for her remarkable performances on the pitch, is set to compete against four other distinguished players for the prestigious Player of the Year title. The shortlist includes Morocco's Sanna Msoudy, Zambia's Barbara Banda, and the Malawian duo Tabitha Chawinga and Themwa Chawinga, highlighting a diverse representation of footballing excellence across the continent.
In addition to her Player of the Year nomination, Nnadozie is vying for the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award—a title she claimed during its inaugural introduction in 2023. Known for her exceptional reflexes and commanding presence in goal, Nnadozie will aim to defend her crown against top contenders in this category.
The 2024 CAF Awards ceremony will take place on December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. This event will celebrate outstanding achievements in African football across various categories, with Nnadozie’s nominations underscoring her pivotal role in elevating women's football on the global stage.
