On December 25, 2024, he was present at the match between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, where the Lakers secured a narrow victory with a final score of 115-113.

Olmo, who rejoined FC Barcelona in August 2024 from RB Leipzig for a reported fee of €60 million, has been a significant contributor to the team's performance this season. He signed a six-year contract with the club, which includes a €500 million release clause.

In the current season, Olmo has made 15 appearances for Barcelona, scoring six goals and providing one assist. His impressive form has made him the highest-scoring midfielder in La Liga, with six goals from ten games, already nearing his personal best for a season.

However, due to Barcelona's financial constraints, there have been challenges regarding his registration with the team. Initially, the club was unable to register him fully, and a temporary registration was facilitated following an injury to Andreas Christensen. This temporary arrangement is set to expire on December 31, 2024. If the club does not resolve these financial issues by then, Olmo could be ineligible to play for Barcelona, potentially allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

This situation has attracted interest from several top European clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich, who are monitoring Olmo's status closely. Despite the uncertainty, Olmo has expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona, and the club is working diligently to resolve the registration issues before the year-end deadline.
