Eze initially sustained the injury during the 3-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend. Despite this, he participated in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Arsenal on Wednesday, playing for 59 minutes before the injury was aggravated.
Glasner explained the decision to rest Eze: "He got a hit against Brighton on his foot. He played with quite a swollen foot at the Emirates and also got the next kick there, so he is not 100 percent. We need every player 100 percent, so it makes sense. We decided that he gets a rest and hopefully he will be available for Bournemouth."
The manager expressed optimism regarding Eze's recovery, aiming for his return in the upcoming fixture against Bournemouth. In Eze's absence, Crystal Palace will look to extend their unbeaten league run to six games as they face Arsenal at Selhurst Park.
