Fenerbahçe's head coach, José Mourinho, is scheduled to depart Istanbul today, December 21, to undergo surgery abroad for an undisclosed health issue.
Mourinho was present on the sidelines during Fenerbahçe's 1-1 league draw against Eyüpspor on Friday.
The team is currently on a winter break and is not scheduled to play again until January 5, when they will host Hatayspor.
Turkish sports journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported on X that Mourinho is leaving Istanbul to address his health concerns.
