Chelsea Loanee Lesley Ugochukwu Deletes Southampton References from Instagram
Chelsea loanee Lesley Ugochukwu has removed all references to Southampton from his Instagram account. The 20-year-old French midfielder joined Southampton on a season-long loan in August 2024 after moving to Chelsea from Rennes in a £23.1 million deal last year.
During his time at Southampton, Ugochukwu made nine appearances in all competitions but started only two Premier League games. He has yet to score a goal for the Saints.
Before his loan move, Ugochukwu made 15 appearances for Chelsea, including12 in the Premier League, but did not score any goals.
The decision to delete Southampton references comes after Ugochukwu was left out of the squad for Southampton's recent 1-1 draw with Brighton. This move has sparked speculation that Chelsea may recall him in the January transfer window due to his lack of playing time.
