Manchester United is reportedly considering a transfer move for Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer, following the recommendation of their new manager, Ruben Amorim. The Austrian international, who joined Bayern Munich on a four-year contract in June 2023, has been a key player for the Bavarian giants.
Laimer, who moved to Bayern from RB Leipzig, has made 59 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and providing four assists. Known for his versatility, Laimer has played in various positions, including central midfield and right-back. His current contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2027.
Amorim, who recently took over as United's manager, is keen on adding Laimer's defensive solidity and versatility to the squad. The Portuguese tactician believes Laimer's ability to play multiple roles would be a valuable asset for the team.
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen expressed delight in signing Laimer, highlighting his contributions to the team. However, despite interest from United, Laimer has stated his contentment with Bayern and has no current plans to leave.
