Manchester United's goal scorers included Marcus Rashford, who netted two goals, and Joshua Zirkzee, who also scored twice.
Rashford opened the scoring in the 34th minute when Bruno Fernandes delivered a corner kick that found him just inside the box. The ball took a deflection off Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite before landing in the back of the net. Zirkzee's first goal came in the 41st minute after Amad Diallo's pressure on Branthwaite led to a turnover, allowing Fernandes to deliver a cross that Zirkzee finished with a close-range strike. Rashford scored again just 20 seconds into the second half, dispatching a close-range strike past Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after being slipped into the area by Diallo. Zirkzee capped off the scoring in the 64th minute, calmly slotting the ball into the net after Diallo dispossessed James Tarkowski and charged forward to set up the goal.
This victory moves Manchester United up to ninth in the Premier League table, while Everton remains in 15th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
