Savinho scored his first goal for Manchester City in their Premier League clash against Leicester City.
The 20-year-old Brazilian winger, who joined City in July 2024 from French club Troyes in a £30 million deal, has steadily integrated into Pep Guardiola’s squad, making 16 league appearances and contributing two assists prior to this game.
The breakthrough moment came in the 21st minute. Phil Foden initiated the attack with a powerful shot aimed at the bottom-left corner.
Leicester goalkeeper Daniel Iversen managed to save the initial effort, but the rebound fell to Savinho near the left edge of the six-yard box. Displaying composure and precision, he struck the ball past Iversen from a tight angle, securing a memorable first goal for the club.
In a heartfelt celebration, Savinho placed the ball inside his shirt, dedicating the goal to his unborn child.
