2Baba Announces Troubled Marriage with Annie Idibia, Confirms Separation and Divorce Plans

Renowned Nigerian musician, Innocent "2Baba" Idibia, has announced his separation from his wife, actress Annie Macaulay Idibia, and disclosed that they are in the process of filing for divorce.

 In a statement shared on his Instagram account on January 26, 2025, 2Baba stated:

"Hello my beautiful people of all federation. Well this thing I have to say short but also long… I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce. I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life, but because I love my people and I want them to know my innocence or offense. Stay bless my people." 

This development comes after a series of challenges in their marriage, including public discussions about infidelity. In a previous interview, Annie Idibia opened up about the emotional difficulties she faced due to her husband's actions. 

The couple, who married in 2012, have been in the public eye for years, with their relationship often subjected to public scrutiny. 2Baba has indicated that he will provide further details in an upcoming press release to share his perspective on the situation.
