Walker, who joined Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 for £50 million, has been instrumental in the club's success, securing 17 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League victory.
The decision to move to AC Milan aligns with Walker's ambition to continue competing at the highest level in Europe, thereby preserving his prospects of reaching 100 caps for the England national team. Currently at 93 appearances, he aims to become the first Black player to achieve this milestone.
This transfer also impacts AC Milan's recruitment strategy due to Serie A regulations that permit clubs to sign only one British player per year. Consequently, the club has ceased its pursuit of Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.
Walker is expected to arrive in Italy shortly to complete the formalities of his move and begin this new chapter with the Rossoneri.
