
Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan guided José Sá to save Son Heung-min’s penalty, marking Spurs’ first Premier League spot-kick of the season.
Hwang and Son, both teammates in the South Korea national squad, were involved in a thrilling match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 29, 2024, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Wolves took an early lead in the 7th minute through Hwang, who curled a shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner. Tottenham quickly responded, with Rodrigo Bentancur heading in a corner from Pedro Porro to level the score in the 12th minute. Son Heung-min had the chance to put Spurs ahead with a penalty in the 43rd minute, but Wolves’ goalkeeper Sá made a crucial save.
Just before halftime, Brennan Johnson put Tottenham 2-1 ahead, finishing from inside the box after a clever pass from Dejan Kulusevski. Wolves weren’t done yet, and in the 87th minute, Jørgen Strand Larsen converted a pass from Rayan Ait-Nouri to level the score at 2-2.
This result leaves Tottenham in 11th place in the Premier League with 24 points from 19 matches, while Wolves remain in 17th place with 16 points.
