Rúben Amorim has made it clear that he will not tolerate a lack of effort from his players, especially Marcus Rashford, who has found himself sidelined amid ongoing concerns over his commitment. 

Following Manchester United's hard-fought 1-0 victory against Fulham on January 26, 2025, Amorim addressed the situation, saying, "I will put the goalkeeper coach Vital before I put a player who does not give the maximum every day."

 He added, "I will not change in that department," underscoring his unwavering stance on maintaining high standards of effort and dedication from his players.

The match, decided by a deflected long-range shot from Lisandro Martinez in the 78th minute, marked United's fourth league win under Amorim's leadership.
