João Félix Withdraws from Chelsea Squad Against Man City Following Family Bereavement

João Félix has been granted compassionate leave following a family bereavement and will not feature in Chelsea's Premier League match against Manchester City. The Portuguese international has flown home to be with his family during this difficult time.
Félix, who rejoined Chelsea on a permanent basis last summer after a loan spell in 2023, has made 20 appearances across all competitions this season. In the Premier League, he has featured in 12 matches but has been limited to three starts, with tactical adjustments favoring other players such as Cole Palmer in the attacking midfield role.

In addition to Félix's absence, Chelsea is dealing with fitness concerns for Levi Colwill and Enzo Fernandez, both of whom are undergoing late assessments. Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, and Romeo Lavia remain unavailable due to injuries.

The club and its supporters extend their deepest condolences to João Félix and his family during this time of loss.
