Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely celebrated as KWAM 1, made headlines during his New Year concert on January 1, 2025, by presenting a remarkable gift of ₦20 million to his longest-serving band member, Fatai Oluperi Ayinla. 
The event, which took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Ikeja, Lagos, left attendees astonished and deeply moved by the gesture.
The Fuji music maestro expressed heartfelt appreciation for Ayinla's steadfast loyalty and invaluable contributions to the band's enduring success. The moment was met with resounding applause and admiration from the audience, highlighting the profound bond between KWAM 1 and his dedicated band members.
Adding to the celebration, actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo also honored Ayinla’s commitment by contributing an additional ₦500,000, further underscoring the recognition of his dedication over the years.
