Liverpool Football Club has released photographs showcasing Anfield Stadium blanketed in snow ahead of their Premier League fixture against Manchester United.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, the match is set to proceed as scheduled today.
The city of Liverpool experienced significant snowfall overnight, prompting safety concerns for both players and spectators. Consequently, Liverpool City Council's safety advisory group, in collaboration with Merseyside Police and other relevant bodies, conducted two safety inspections at 9:00 AM and noon to assess the feasibility of hosting the match. After thorough evaluations, it was determined that the game could continue safely.

Liverpool FC has advised fans traveling to Anfield to exercise caution due to the weather conditions. The club expressed gratitude to all parties involved in ensuring the match could proceed, stating, "We thank everyone involved in helping us to get this game on today."
This fixture holds significant importance for Liverpool, who currently lead the Premier League table by five points. The team is keen to avoid further fixture congestion, especially after a previous weather-related postponement of the Merseyside derby against Everton due to Storm Darragh.
