Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has encouraged star winger Bukayo Saka to take a short holiday as part of his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
Arteta emphasized the importance of rest and rejuvenation, expressing his belief that a brief break could significantly benefit Saka's recovery.
“Bukayo needs to take a holiday,” Arteta said. “He is obligated to go, with his girlfriend, or his family, or on his own—he can choose! He needs to get away for a few days and refresh. He can still do a lot of things with his rehabilitation. It will make him better.”
Saka, who sustained the injury during Arsenal's dominant 5-1 win over Crystal Palace in December, underwent successful surgery and is expected to be out until early March. The winger's absence is a significant blow for the Gunners as they navigate a crucial phase of the Premier League campaign.
Arsenal will face Aston Villa this weekend at the Emirates Stadium, and while Saka will not be available, he has been a supportive presence for his teammates at the club’s training ground in London Colney. The team hopes to maintain their momentum as they push for a strong finish this season.
Arteta's comments reflect the club's long-term vision for Saka’s recovery, ensuring the 22-year-old returns in peak condition to contribute to Arsenal’s ambitions in the latter stages of the campaign.
