Anthony Lopes, a seasoned goalkeeper who dedicated 24 years to Olympique Lyonnais, has completed a transfer to FC Nantes. The 34-year-old reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with Lyon, facilitating his move to the Ligue 1 club. 
Lopes began his football journey at Lyon's youth academy in 2000, making his professional debut in 2012. Over the years, he amassed 489 appearances for the club, including notable performances in the Coupe de la Ligue finals in 2014 and 2020.
Internationally, Lopes represented Portugal at various youth levels, earning 36 caps, and made his senior debut in March 2015. He was part of the national team squads for UEFA Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2020.
At Nantes, Lopes has signed an initial six-month contract, with the possibility of extending his tenure based on performance. This move offers him a fresh opportunity to contribute his extensive experience to a new team.
