Former Manchester United goalkeeper Jack Butland, now playing for Rangers, was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday due to a serious internal bleed. 
This medical emergency has ruled him out of the upcoming Old Firm derby against Celtic, which was set to take place on Thursday.
Butland had been expected to start in the highly anticipated match, but his health issues have forced him to withdraw. Rangers FC confirmed his absence and wished him a speedy recovery.
In his place, backup goalkeeper Liam Kelly is expected to feature, following a previous appearance against Dundee.
