Stanley Nwabali, the talented goalkeeper for Nigeria's Super Eagles, has experienced two devastating losses in quick succession.

Recall that in November 2024, Nwabali announced the passing of his father, a deeply personal tragedy that shook him to the core.

Unfortunately, less than two months later, he has now shared the heartbreaking news of his mother’s death through a post on his Twitter account.

Nwabali, who plays professionally for Chippa United in South Africa, has received an outpouring of support from the football community.

Nwabali’s father's passing occurred shortly after he had contributed to Nigeria's successful qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
