Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali Returns to Training After Losing Both Parents

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has resumed training with his South African club, Chippa United, following the recent loss of both his parents. 

Nwabali's mother passed away on January 1, 2025, a mere six weeks after the death of his father in mid-November 2024. 

Nigerian Sport writer Pooja shared the moment on his Twitter timeline earlier today. 

Despite these personal tragedies, Nwabali has demonstrated remarkable resilience by rejoining his teammates in preparation for their upcoming Premier Soccer League fixtures. He shared clips of his return to training on social media, signaling his commitment to both his club and professional responsibilities. 

The Nigeria Football Federation extended its condolences to Nwabali, stating, "Our heartfelt condolences to Stanley Nwabali on the loss of his mother. Stay strong, Stanley. Sending you strength and support during this difficult time. You are not alone; we are all with you."
