Lionel was a well-known figure in Agen's covered market, representing the fourth generation of a family of greengrocers. He leaves behind three children: Alexia, Léo, and Aymeric. 

On social media, Aymeric expressed his profound grief, stating:

Translation: "31.01.2025 Too few words to express what I feel losing you so soon, so young... You were the pillar of my success along with Mom, and losing you is the worst thing. I will love you forever, Dad."

Lionel Laporte was not only a dedicated father but also a passionate football enthusiast. He took immense pride in the careers of his sons, especially Aymeric's achievements in professional football. Despite battling throat cancer in his later years, Lionel remained a steadfast supporter, often traveling to watch Aymeric's matches and proudly displaying memorabilia at his market stall.
