Moise Kean, the 24-year-old forward for Fiorentina, was hospitalized following a head injury during a Serie A match against Hellas Verona on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Kean, who has been a standout performer this season with 15 goals, sustained the injury in the second half when he collided with Verona's Pawel Dawidowicz. Despite initial treatment and a brief return to the field, Kean collapsed shortly after, prompting immediate medical attention. He was removed from the pitch on a stretcher, wearing a neck brace, and transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Fiorentina confirmed the incident, stating that Kean suffered head trauma and is currently undergoing tests at the hospital. The match concluded with a 1-0 victory for Verona, secured by a last-minute goal from Antoine Bernede. This incident marks the second significant health scare for Fiorentina this season; in December, midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch during a match against Inter Milan, leading to surgery and the implantation of a defibrillator to prevent cardiac arrest.

The football community has expressed deep concern for Kean's well-being, with both teammates and opponents offering support. As of now, there is no official update on Kean's condition, and further information is awaited from Fiorentina's medical staff.
