Jamie Carragher Slams Jadon Sancho for Lack of Effort in Chelsea’s Humiliating Defeat to Brighton

Jamie Carragher has strongly criticized Jadon Sancho for his lack of effort during Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
The former Liverpool defender, who was providing commentary for Sky Sports, was particularly frustrated with Sancho’s defensive contribution, especially in the build-up to Brighton’s third goal.

Sancho, who joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United, replaced Noni Madueke in the first half after the winger sustained an injury. However, his performance failed to impress Carragher, who highlighted his poor tracking of Brighton's Yankuba Minteh, allowing the young forward to enter the box unchallenged and score.
“Just see Sancho with Minteh at the top of your picture, the one-two and just watch Sancho. I mean, where’s he going?!” Carragher remarked. He further criticized Chelsea’s left side, adding, “Minteh has the potential to be a real star, but the intensity on that side from Cucurella and Sancho was awful.” Summing up Chelsea’s struggles, he concluded, “This is a bad, bad night.”

Sancho has faced scrutiny since his move to Chelsea, with Carragher previously questioning his impact at Manchester United. “Let’s be honest, he did nothing for Man United. £70/80 million, and he did nothing,” Carragher stated earlier in the season.
