Havertz, currently playing for Arsenal, sustained the injury during a training session in Dubai. Subsequent assessments revealed that the injury requires surgery, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. His recovery and rehabilitation are expected to extend into the pre-season preparations for the next campaign. 

This injury is a significant setback for both Arsenal and the German national team. Havertz has been a key player for Arsenal, contributing 15 goals this season. His absence leaves the team without a recognized center-forward, especially with other forwards like Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka also sidelined due to injuries. 

For the German national team, Havertz's unavailability means that coach Julian Nagelsmann will have to adjust his plans for the upcoming UEFA Nations League quarter-final against Italy in March.
