Manchester United Monitor Matheus Cunha as £62 Million Release Clause in Wolves Contract Becomes Active

Manchester United are closely monitoring Wolverhampton Wanderers' forward Matheus Cunha, who has recently signed a new 4½-year contract with Wolves.

This contract includes a release clause set at £62 million, which becomes active at the end of the current season, allowing any club to initiate a transfer without restrictions. 

Cunha, 25, has been in impressive form, scoring 11 goals and providing 4 assists in 23 appearances this season. His performance has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. 

Wolves are keen to retain their star forward and have moved to extend his contract to ward off interest from other clubs. However, the inclusion of the release clause means that Cunha's future could be subject to change, especially if Wolves face relegation, as the clause is reportedly set at £45 million in such an event.
