Manchester United Players Don 'Mucha Fuerza Licha' Shirts in Support of Injured Lisandro Martínez

Manchester United's squad donned special warm-up shirts emblazoned with the message "Mucha Fuerza Licha" ("A Lot Of Strength Licha") ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round match against Leicester City.

This gesture was in support of defender Lisandro Martínez, who recently suffered a cruciate ligament injury during a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. The injury is expected to sideline Martínez for six to eight months, marking a significant setback for both the player and the team. 

Martínez, a key figure in Manchester United's defense since his transfer from Ajax in 2022, has faced multiple injuries during his tenure with the club. His absence poses a considerable challenge for head coach Rúben Amorim, who must now rely on other defenders such as Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt, and new signing Ayden Heaven to fill the void. 

The team's tribute underscores the strong camaraderie within the squad and their collective support for Martínez during his recovery. Manchester United is currently 13th in the Premier League and is navigating a season marked by injuries to key players.
