Neymar was visibly emotional during his official unveiling at Vila Belmiro Stadium upon his return to Santos FC. 

The 32-year-old forward, wearing the iconic number 10 jersey once donned by Pelé, expressed his deep connection to the club where he began his professional career. 

During the ceremony, he addressed the fans, emphasizing that his return was driven by his love for football and his desire to contribute to Santos' success. His decision to rejoin the Brazilian club has reignited enthusiasm among supporters, leading to a surge in club memberships and renewed hopes for future titles.

Before his return to Santos, Neymar played for Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, where he made seven appearances and scored one goal. However, his time in Saudi Arabia was plagued by injuries, including a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in October 2023, which severely limited his playing time. His contract with Al Hilal was mutually terminated in January 2025.

Now back at Santos, Neymar has signed a contract running until June, with the aim of regaining top form ahead of the 2026 World Cup. His return to Brazil marks a significant chapter in his career as he looks to make an impact both at club level and on the international stage
