Manchester City has confirmed that midfielder Nico González is fit and available for the upcoming Champions League playoff first-leg match against Real Madrid on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
González, who recently transferred from Porto for £50 million, suffered a minor injury during his debut in the FA Cup match against Leyton Orient on February 8. He was substituted after 22 minutes due to a rib injury sustained from a challenge.
Following medical assessment and treatment, González has recovered and is ready to contribute to the team's efforts against Real Madrid. His availability is a significant boost for manager Pep Guardiola, especially considering the absence of key midfielder Rodri, who has been sidelined since September with an ACL injury.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 PM at the Etihad Stadium .
