Pep Guardiola Addresses Erling Haaland Injury Scare as Manchester City Secure 4-0 Win Over Newcastle With Omar Marmoush Hat-Trick

Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Manchester City are now concerned about Erling Haaland’s knee after he went down during their 4-0 victory over Newcastle United. The Norwegian striker briefly caused alarm among his teammates and fans, but he was able to walk off the pitch without showing significant discomfort.  

“When he was down, everyone was scared. He got up, walked, smiling like always,” Guardiola stated after the match. “I didn't speak to him, but the doctors didn't come with bad news.”  

Despite the injury scare, Manchester City dominated the game, securing a comfortable win at the Etihad Stadium. New signing Omar Marmoush stole the spotlight with a first-half hat-trick, scoring in the 18th, 23rd, and 33rd minutes. James McAtee added the fourth goal in the 83rd minute to seal the victory.  

The result pushes City into the Premier League’s top four as they prepare for their next challenge, with hopes that Haaland’s injury is not serious and that he will be fit for their upcoming fixtures.
