President Trump Revokes Biden's Security Clearance: "Joe, You're Fired"

On Friday, February 7, 2025, President Donald Trump announced the revocation of former President Joe Biden's access to classified information and the termination of his daily intelligence briefings. This decision was communicated via a post on Trump's social media platform shortly after his arrival at Mar-a-Lago, his residence and private club in Palm Beach, Florida.
In his announcement, President Trump stated, "There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings." He further remarked, "He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents."

This action mirrors the 2021 decision by then-President Biden to discontinue Trump's access to intelligence briefings, citing concerns over Trump's "erratic" behavior and potential risks to national security. At that time, Biden questioned the value of providing Trump with intelligence briefings, expressing concerns about the possibility of Trump inadvertently disclosing sensitive information.

In his recent statement, President Trump referenced a report by Special Counsel Robert Hur, which criticized Biden's memory and handling of sensitive information. Trump concluded his message with, "I will always protect our National Security — JOE, YOU’RE FIRED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

The Biden administration has not yet issued a response to this development.
