Born in Jamaica, Voletta Wallace moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she raised her son, Christopher Wallace, known professionally as The Notorious B.I.G. Following his tragic death in 1997, she dedicated herself to preserving his legacy. As the executor of his estate, she oversaw its growth from an estimated $10 million at the time of his passing to approximately $160 million.
In addition to managing the estate, Voletta Wallace co-produced the 2009 biopic "Notorious," which chronicled her son's life and career. She also played a pivotal role in his posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, expressing immense pride in his accomplishments.
