Arsenal secured their place in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven at the Emirates Stadium last night.
The result, combined with their commanding 7-1 victory in the first leg, ensured a resounding 9-3 aggregate win for the Gunners.
The match began with Arsenal taking an early lead in the 6th minute, as Oleksandr Zinchenko curled a brilliant strike into the bottom-left corner. However, PSV responded 12 minutes later through Ivan Perisic, whose left-footed effort found the top corner, leveling the score on the night.
Arsenal regained their advantage in the 37th minute when Declan Rice headed home a precise cross from Raheem Sterling, marking his second consecutive game with a goal. Despite Arsenal's dominance, PSV managed to equalize once again in the 70th minute, with Couhaib Driouech chipping the ball over David Raya after a defensive lapse.
While the draw may not have been the ideal result for Arsenal on the night, their aggregate victory highlighted their attacking prowess and determination. The Gunners now look ahead to a challenging quarterfinal clash, as they aim to continue their impressive Champions League campaign.
