Afrobeats superstar Asake has become the center of attention after his father, Fatai Odunsi, also known as Malo, made a public plea for assistance. Mr. Odunsi, who is partially paralyzed due to a stroke, revealed in an emotional video that he is unable to afford his medical expenses and turned to Nigerians for help.

In the video, Mr. Odunsi shared his struggles and expressed disappointment over the lack of support from his son. "Good day everyone, I’m the one that gave birth to Ahmed Asake, the singer. The last time I set my eyes on him was March 2022 when my sickness started. If I called Asake, he won’t pick. Please help me, it is your help that I need," he stated.
