Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, former broadcast journalist Lauren Sánchez, are set to marry this summer in Venice, Italy.
The highly anticipated wedding comes nearly two years after the couple’s engagement, which took place in May 2023. Reports indicate that invitations have been sent out, with the ceremony expected to be held aboard Bezos' $500 million superyacht, Koru, along the Italian coast in June.
A Love Story That Began in 2019
Bezos, 61, and Sánchez, 55, began their relationship in 2019 following Bezos’ divorce from MacKenzie Scott and Sánchez’s separation from Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell. The couple announced their engagement while vacationing in the South of France, where Bezos proposed with an extravagant 20-carat diamond ring valued at approximately $2.5 million.
Their engagement celebration took place in Positano, Italy, and was attended by numerous celebrities, including Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Kris Jenner. More recently, the couple made headlines with their appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2025, where Sánchez donned a stunning white mermaid-style gown, further fueling excitement about their upcoming nuptials.
