Mikel Arteta Optimistic About Bukayo Saka’s Return After International Break

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a positive update on Bukayo Saka’s recovery, stating that the winger has a “good chance” of making his return after the international break.

Saka has been out of action since suffering a significant hamstring injury in December, a setback that coincided with Arsenal’s struggles in domestic cup competitions and a dip in their Premier League form. However, Arteta expressed confidence in the 22-year-old’s rehabilitation progress, revealing that Saka is set to intensify his recovery over the coming week.

The Arsenal boss highlighted that Saka’s rehabilitation has reached an advanced stage, with the player now focusing on ball-related exercises such as passing, shooting, and running. Having already completed extensive individual work on the pitch, the next step involves his reintegration into team training, where his fitness will be further assessed.

Arsenal is hopeful that Saka will be available for key upcoming fixtures, including their Premier League match against Fulham on April 1 and the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid on April 8. His return is expected to significantly strengthen the Gunners' attacking options as they approach a crucial phase of the season.

During his recovery period, Saka has shown commitment to regaining full fitness, participating in an intensive rehabilitation program and attending a warm-weather training camp, where he focused on gym work. His anticipated comeback is seen as a major boost for Arsenal as they push forward in their domestic and European campaigns.
