Chelle Imposes Strict Restrictions on Super Eagles' Camp Ahead of Zimbabwe Clash
Ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe, Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has announced a ban on visitors at the team's camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. This decision aims to ensure that the players remain fully focused on their preparation for the crucial match.

Chelle’s decision to restrict access to the camp follows their recent 2-0 victory over Rwanda. The team's media officer, Promise Efoghe, confirmed that the upcoming training sessions would be closed to the public. While the media will be allowed access for 15 minutes following an official press conference during Monday's session, there will be no further interactions with the players during the training period.

This new policy contrasts with the approach of previous coaching regimes, which occasionally permitted the presence of fans and journalists at training sessions. However, Chelle’s priority is now on keeping the players in a controlled environment to avoid distractions.

The Super Eagles are currently positioned fourth in their qualification group, with six points from five matches. They will be facing Zimbabwe on March 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
