Igor Tudor Commences Tenure as Juventus Head Coach with First Training Session
Igor Tudor, the newly appointed head coach of Juventus, led his inaugural training session with the team's Men's First Team today at the Continassa training grounds.
Tudor's appointment follows the departure of Thiago Motta, who was relieved of his duties after eight months due to a series of disappointing results, including heavy losses that impacted the team's standing in Serie A and European competitions.
The 46-year-old Croatian returns to Juventus, where he previously played from 1998 to 2005, contributing to the club's success with multiple Serie A titles and other honors.
In his first session, Tudor focused on preparations for the upcoming match against Genoa at Allianz Stadium. The training involved players not on international duty, with the remainder expected to join in the coming days.
Reports indicate that Tudor has agreed to a contract valid until the end of June, with an automatic one-year extension if Juventus secures qualification for the Champions League.
Juventus' immediate goal under Tudor's leadership is to reclaim a top-four position in Serie A, currently sitting one point behind fourth-placed Bologna, to ensure participation in next season's Champions League.
