Isco Alarcón, who made 353 appearances and scored 53 goals for Real Madrid over nine seasons, played a pivotal role in Real Betis's recent 2-1 victory over his former club. The match, held at Estadio Benito Villamarín, saw Isco assist the first goal and convert a penalty for the winner. His passionate celebration following the penalty drew criticism from some Real Madrid supporters.

In response, Isco issued an apology, stating:  "I apologize to all the Real Madrid fans for my celebration after scoring. I am very grateful to Real Madrid; they will always be in my heart."

The game began with Real Madrid taking an early lead when Kylian Mbappé set up Ferland Mendy, who squared the ball for Brahim Díaz to score from close range.

However, Betis equalized before halftime when Johnny Cardoso headed home from Isco's corner.

In the 54th minute, Isco converted a penalty after Antonio Rüdiger fouled Jesús Rodríguez, securing the decisive goal for Betis.
