Newcastle United Clinch First Major Trophy in 70 Years with Carabao Cup Triumph Over Liverpool

Newcastle United secured their first major domestic trophy in 70 years by defeating Liverpool 2-1 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium. 

The Magpies took the lead just before halftime when Dan Burn headed in a Kieran Trippier corner. Alexander Isak doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute with a precise finish. Liverpool's Federico Chiesa scored a late goal, but Newcastle held firm to claim victory. 

This triumph marks Newcastle's first major domestic silverware since winning the FA Cup in 1955, ending a seven-decade trophy drought.
