Paul Pogba, the 31-year-old French midfielder, has officially completed his 18-month doping suspension as of March 11, 2025, making him eligible to return to professional football.
Pogba's suspension stemmed from a positive testosterone test following a Serie A match against Udinese in August 2023. Initially handed a four-year ban, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the suspension to 18 months, allowing Pogba to resume training in January and return to competitive play in March.

During his suspension, Pogba's contract with Juventus was terminated in November 2024, rendering him a free agent. Reports indicate that Pogba has been maintaining his fitness independently, preparing for a return to professional football.

As of now, Pogba has not secured a contract with a new club. Speculations about his next destination include potential moves to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, with Inter Miami CF emerging as a possible option, or to clubs in Saudi Arabia, where compatriots like N'Golo Kanté and Karim Benzema currently play. However, Pogba's priority is reportedly to continue competing in Europe, aiming to remain in contention for the French national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Pogba's career has been distinguished by significant achievements, including winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France and securing multiple domestic titles with Juventus. His return to professional football is highly anticipated, with fans and analysts keen to see where the talented midfielder will resume his career.
