Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, securing a 4-1 victory over Lille at the Parc des Princes. The home side dominated the first half, scoring all four of their goals before the break.
Bradley Barcola opened the scoring in the 6th minute, capitalizing on a rebound from Ousmane Dembélé's initial attempt. Captain Marquinhos extended the lead in the 22nd minute, followed by Dembélé's goal in the 28th. Desire Doue concluded the first-half barrage with a remarkable strike in the 37th minute. Lille’s Jonathan David managed a consolation goal in the 80th minute.

This triumph solidifies PSG's lead in Ligue 1, amassing 62 points from 24 matches, 16 points clear of both Olympique de Marseille and Nice.

Head coach Luis Enrique praised his team's first-half display as their best of the season and emphasized the importance of recovery and ambition ahead of their upcoming UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Liverpool. Recognizing Liverpool as one of Europe’s most in-form teams, Enrique anticipates a challenging encounter but remains confident in PSG’s strengths.

The first leg against Liverpool is scheduled for Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, with the return fixture set for March 11 at Anfield.
