Real Madrid has expressed its condolences following the sudden passing of Carles Miñarro García, the esteemed first-team doctor of FC Barcelona. In an official statement, Real Madrid C.F., led by President Florentino Pérez and the Board of Directors, conveyed their deep sorrow over Miñarro's death. The club extended heartfelt sympathies to Miñarro's family, colleagues, FC Barcelona, and all those affected by his loss, concluding with a wish for him to rest in peace.

The tragic news led to the postponement of the La Liga match between FC Barcelona and Osasuna, initially scheduled for March 8, 2025. The game was called off just 18 minutes before kick-off after Miñarro was found deceased in his hotel room. Barcelona's president, Joan Laporta, informed the team of the news, and discussions with Osasuna's president, Luis Zabalza, along with officials from LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation, led to the match's suspension.

Tributes have poured in from various quarters, including heartfelt messages from Barcelona players such as Pedri and Gavi, who expressed their disbelief and sorrow over Miñarro's untimely death. Additionally, Real Madrid players and officials have publicly conveyed their support and condolences to FC Barcelona during this challenging time.

Carles Miñarro García, aged 53, had been a dedicated member of FC Barcelona's medical staff since 2017. His sudden passing has left a profound impact on the football community, with many recalling his commitment and warmth.
