Real Madrid observed a moment of silence before their match against Rayo Vallecano to honor the memory of Carles Miñarro García, FC Barcelona's first-team doctor, who tragically passed away at the age of 53 on Saturday. The tribute also extended to David García de la Loma, a referee in Spain's fourth tier, who died at the age of 31 on Wednesday.
Both teams donned black armbands as a further mark of respect. Real Madrid’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed his condolences after the match, saying, "Before starting, I want to send a hug to the families of Dr. Miñarro and referee García de la Loma. We are very sorry."

On the field, Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory, leveling with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings.
