Nigerian sports journalist Pooja recently shared photographs of the Super Eagles' new coaching staff members, Goalkeeping Trainer Jean-Daniel Padovani and Fitness Trainer Thomas Gornourec, during the team's training camp in Rwanda.

Padovani brings a wealth of experience to his role, having previously served as the goalkeeping coach for Mali's national team during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. Gornourec, who holds a UEFA A License and a master's degree, has been appointed as the team's fitness trainer.

The Super Eagles are currently in Rwanda to prepare for their upcoming international fixtures. On March 21, 2025, they will face Rwanda in a World Cup qualifying match at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali. Following this, they are scheduled to play against Zimbabwe on March 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.

These matches are crucial for Nigeria's aspirations to secure a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the integration of the new coaching staff is expected to enhance the team's performance during this qualifying campaign.
