Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi Arrive at Super Eagles Camp as Eric Chelle Takes Charge

Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi have promptly joined the Super Eagles' training camp in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of Nigeria's crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Amavubi of Rwanda. The duo arrived on Sunday night and were received at the Kigali International Airport by head coach Eric Chelle and his backroom staff. 

Osimhen recently showcased his striking prowess by netting a hat-trick for Galatasaray in their 4-0 victory over Antalyaspor on Friday. Onyemaechi also demonstrated his defensive capabilities during Olympiacos' UEFA Europa League clash against Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt last Thursday. 

In addition to Osimhen and Onyemaechi, other early arrivals at the Radisson Blu Hotel camp include goalkeepers Kayode Bankole and Amas Obasogie, as well as forward Tolu Arokodare. More players are anticipated to join the camp later today. 

The Super Eagles are set to face Rwanda in a matchday five encounter at the Amahoro Stadium on Friday. Subsequently, they will host the Warriors of Zimbabwe four days later at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. 

Head coach Eric Chelle has announced a 23-man squad for these pivotal fixtures, blending experienced players with emerging talents. This strategic selection underscores Nigeria's determination to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
