Nigerian music icon 2Face Idibia (also known as 2Baba) recently made headlines after publicly introducing his new partner, Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
Recall that In a viral video shared on his Instagram in February 2025, 2Face declared his love for Osawaru and announced his intention to marry her, clarifying that she had no involvement in the breakdown of his marriage to actress Annie Idibia.
The relationship became public shortly after 2Face appeared at the Edo State House of Assembly, sparking speculation about their closeness. Following the proposal, Natasha Osawaru updated her Instagram bio to “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,” indicating a significant step forward in their relationship.
However, 2Face’s revelation has stirred controversy. Some critics, including political aide Ossai Ovie Success, warned that marrying Osawaru before finalizing a divorce from Annie could amount to bigamy under Nigerian law—a crime punishable by up to five years in prison.
Despite the backlash and legal concerns, 2Face and Osawaru have continued to make public appearances together, signaling their commitment. Meanwhile, Annie Idibia has reverted to her maiden name on social media, signifying a fresh chapter in her life.
