Amad Diallo is reportedly set to return to training with the Manchester United squad next week, following a quicker-than-expected recovery from an ankle ligament injury he sustained in February.
Initially feared to be out for the rest of the season, Diallo’s early return is seen as a major boost for manager Rúben Amorim, especially with the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao on the horizon.
The Ivorian winger has been one of Manchester United's standout performers this season, with six goals and six assists in the Premier League, as well as two goals in the Europa League. His comeback could provide much-needed energy to the team’s attack, which has shown signs of struggle in recent games.
Earlier this year, the club extended Diallo’s contract until June 2030, reflecting their long-term confidence in him and increasing his wages significantly. His anticipated return to training next week comes at a crucial time in the season.
