Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners in the 34th minute, finding the net with a well-placed left-footed effort after taking advantage of a defensive error.
Everton responded shortly after the break when Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty in the 49th minute, following a foul by Myles Lewis-Skelly on Jack Harrison inside the box.
Despite creating several promising chances, Arsenal could not restore their lead, with Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford producing a number of important saves. The draw leaves Arsenal in second place with 62 points from 31 matches, 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool, who still have a game in hand.
